Samsara Cues out of business

Well please let me in on the joke. My post was intended for nothing other than to relay my experience and that it appears the tips are different. I’ve used their Break/Jump tips for years generally buying in quantity and sealing them in a bag with a vacuum sealer. Upon reading this thread I went to their site and ordered a quantity of the 9 layer leather break jump tips. The tips received as shown in original post are seemingly different not only from the older tip also shown in photo but they look different from what’s currently shown on the site now as well. Much lighter in color and color is inconsistent throughout the tip with some layers dark and some light.

Do you have any info on the differences? Different leather, different process, do they play the same or different and if different, how?
I think he was referencing that BJ can have a different meaning than Break/Jump. Brian.

Sorry my inner 4th grader came out in reference to what BJ can mean to some.

Does the True tip look different from the side?
The top looks like maybe they printed the whole surface (black) along with the colored logo and the new ones just pint the logo on the tip.

I have a couple that do not have any logo at all.

The entire tip looks different. Truthfully I never looked at the logos or the tips closely before, I.E. how the old ones had BJ and True in the logo or color of tip. I just noticed when I went to put the new tips away I noticed a distinct difference in color compared to the old tips I already had. That’s when I pulled an old one out and did a comparison. The old tips are much darker not just on top but on the entire tip and the color is consistent throughout the tip. The new ones are grey in color on top as photo shows but the color throughout the tip is inconsistent, some layers light in color, some dark.

More disconcerting is it almost appears to be a different type of leather, not just a different look but how they feel to the touch. They look cheaper somehow and that makes me wonder what the differences are and will it make a difference in the performance as compared to what I’ve become used to. The receipt had an email to contact for customer service and I’ve made an inquiry but as yet haven’t received a response.
Has anyone tried the new tips to see if they do break / jump and play differently?

Just texted Terry Harris, copy of the conversation below. The ones I got earlier this year looked like the ones on the left:
