Just wondering if anyone has used the Samsara J/B tips and what they think of them ? I am thinking about ordering a few and trying them out....

These tips are the nuts. Best jump/break tip on the market. For me its the next best thing to phenolic.

I just ordered one. I'm wondering if anyone has tried installing them on a phenolic ferrule? I have an idea that putting this tip on a phenolic ferrule with a fiber pad between them might work out kinda nice but if someone has tried this and I'm wrong I'd like to know in advance. lol.

Well I have a Rick Howard Mace J/B cue that I replaced the old ferrule with a 1" capped tan phenolic ferrule. I didnt use a fiber though, but this set up works really great. I can jump a whole ball about a ball and half away and I dont use the dart method either.

I ordered two of these samsara tips last week and expecting them in today.

In the recent past I replaced a phenolic tip that was on an Elite Break cue with a Le Pro tip. The Elite break cue has a carbon\phenolic ferrule. I have left the ferrule on for now.

Was not what I was personally hoping for to replace the phenolic tip so I replaced the Le Pro with a Water Buffalo tip. I tested with a standard tip installation and the results were "a-okay kinda" but again not what I was looking for to replace my phenolic tip. I also shaved the Water Buffalo tip down to just a small thin Water Buffalo tip on top of the carbon\phenolic ferrule but still not what I am hoping for as the replacement to the phenolic tip.

(..and personally I do see a difference with all these tips compared to the phenolic tip, with the phenolic tip being a better feel, sound and return of break results.)

I will replace the Water Buffalo tip with a new samsara tip today (If i get the tips in) and test, then post results.

Thanks All

These tips are alot harder then a thin water buffalo tip. I had a thin water buffalo tip on my jump/break. I have alot better results with the samsara tip. Let us know how you like these tips.
