Samsara tip

I cross hatch the back with a razor, then glue with loctite. I also trim them down so the side wall is a little more than a nickels thickness. They don't lose their shape or mushroom, so it isn't a big deal to trim them low. I believe trimming them low does 2 things. 1 - they hit a little harder. 2 - I feel that on a miscue, a taller tip has a lot more leverage (sheer force) that then can pop the tip off.

Knock on wood, I've yet to have one pop off. Hope this helps.

I scuff then glue to a magazine. Then scuff until the remnants of the magazine are gone then use gel. Hope this helps:grin-square:

Jer, I have installed only 2 of these, one on my own break cue and another on a friends cue. Haven't had an issue on either. My breaker has a phenolic ferrule and I pretreated the tip with thin CA. Then sanded lightly and then glued it on to the ferrule with Loctite control gel and have had no problems.
The other cue, I am told has had the same result, same set-up, same response.

I use loc-tite professional liquid, face off the ferrule and scuff the back of the tip on a sanding block with 100 grit paper on it.Wipe the tip clean. Couple of drops on the back of the tip and hold in place with the tailstock for a few seconds and finish. No problems with them popping off yet.

Best Wishes,
