I'll be going to San Diego next week for a week or so. Anyone recommend good places to play. I'll be staying at the Naval Training center, close to the airport. Any advice is appreciated.

Been a while since I have been there, but I would imagine the best room is still in La Mesa...(I think it is called On Cue now)

On a side not...I have not heard of any big events happening in San Diego for years since someone ran off with the Gold Rush tour money & Swanee went Hollywood.

I wonder if there are ever any events that are big enough to use as an excuse to go to San Diego???

Are there any annual big events?

Yeah I'm here.. OnCue is probably the best "players" hall in san diego.

Shoot me a pm if you want to hook up and play some. I'll be out of town this weekend, but it sounds like your going to be around for awhile.

When I was living in SD in the mid to late 90's, College Billiards was the place to be. The shooters didnt hang out at La Mesa Billiards or OnCue.

Guess times change.
 
College Billiards is a little scary to go to now-a-days. On Cue is probably your best bet. You can ask the night manager Sam where the action is.

On Cue also has a GREAT monday night tournament which usually has a full field.
