All this talk about sanctioning got me thinking? Pool has so many 'so called' Sanctioning Bodies? Why is that? How'd it happen? Is not the BCA the 'Oldest' Governing/Sanctioning body in US Billiards? Been around since the 40's, it's the only body that I'm aware of that has published Official Rules Annually, so much so that people 'Collect' the BCA Rule Book. Why not a move back to the original American Organization for Billiards?
Mind you I'm not advocating one way or the other, but it seems that everytime a new Organization pops up everyone gets their feathers in a bunch. Well, just by way of observation it seems the BCA, (like them or not), has been here through them all.
