Any prospects for the winners to play in a state or national competition...as with the 14 and 1 league?

Have those new Diamond tables come in yet? They will make all the difference to the 14.1 competition.

Unfortunately, Diamond Products and I had agreed on something over the phone but then when the quote was sent to me, it was completely different from our conversation. There was $12,000 money up front added into the equation. After another phone conversation and some revision, a 2nd quote was sent over with less money down up front but an 18.5% interest rate added in!!! I was straight forward and honest with Diamond from the beginning. I only asked for the same in return. Obviously they don't really care to have that much influence in players' rooms in the North East of the country. I don't think they truly understand how our pool rooms work up here. We have 9 foot tables in a room with 15 - 30 tables on average. I figured there'd be a good discount rate for ordering 10-14 top of the line brand new tables. I guess $75,000/$80,000 isn't a large enough purchase. :frown:

ANYHOW, I'm having my Brunswick tables (The #1 table in history) all refurbished with new rails and recovered. If there are any reconstruction needs, they will be rebuilt entirely and all. They will play incredibly well. I finally got some availability with the gentleman that does great work all over. He is currently recovering Amsterdam Billiard Club, then he'll be doing another room in NJ and then mine after that. He also does Raxx in West Hempstead. He does incredible work and goes above and beyond the call of duty to guaruntee a great playing table when finished. I'm glad to finally have him work in my room. His rep is incredible AND his work is even better. I have seen his work myself.

Folks,

I apologize. I was in the playoffs with my team and printed the sheets wrong. The organizational meeting will be 7pm Monday the 17th.

Tomorrow Night!

Come on out tomorrow night @ 7PM for the start of session #2 of the BCA 14.1 Straight pool league!

I'd much rather play 14.1 on a Brunswick Gold Crown than a Diamond table. You made a good choice by me.

Thank you Ron. I share the same sentiment as you do sir. The main reason I was entertaining the idea of Diamond tables is to simply follow suit of the expos and pro events so that my players would be able to practice on the same equipment they were to compete on. I always try to think of the enthusiasts' needs first eventhough it would've a horrible business decision during these times and especially before the slow Summer months. Through my research and discussions with table owners, table mechanics and even the designer of the Diamond ProAm table however I've realized that Brunswick's standards and quality in their tables is STILL #1 for a reason. I believe it is the right reason as well!

We have a few spaces left if you are interested in signing up to play. Contact me before Friday to get on board with NJ premier 14.1 league.
