sanding mandrels

I asked a friend of mine to get a set of sanding mandrels for me. .840 and .835. They are for a 3/8 x 10 pin. I gave the machinist a few of my pins and within a month or so i got them. They are about 4 inches long with a male and female end. The machinist did not use carbide but had the steel heat treated and I was a little sceptical that they would not hold up. To my suprise these mandrels are tough as nails. Anyway my friend Duane has 8 more 3/8 x 10 blanks available that he wants to sell. He wants 75.00 for each and they are oversize. The machinist will make them to your specks for 15.00. Im not comparing these to any other mandrels or saying these are better, just a whole lot cheaper and sufficient for my uses. Anyone interested let me know.
