$500-added 8-Ball Tournament ($300 with less than 32 players). Open to men/women of all skill levels.
FORMAT: Modified Double Elimination, Race to 4 both sides (C's race to 3). Final Board 8 players,** single elimination. Only the Final Board is handicapped.
DIVISIONS: A, B, & C based on skill level.*** Players will play against their own skill level to reach the Final Board; i.e., a B player will only play another B player.
FINAL BOARD: The Final Board is single elimination and will be filled proportionately based on the number of players in each division. The races are handicapped as follows:
A v. A = race is to 4
A v. B = race is 4 - 3 B v. B = 3 - 3
A v. C = race is 4 - 2 B v. C = 3 - 2 C v. C = 2 - 2
** Depending on the number of players, the Final Board may be increased to 16.
*** A+ players will be allowed if there are a minimum of 4 A+ players. In that case, an A+ Division will be added. The handicap on the Final Board will be a race of 5-3, 5-2 or 5-1.
Note: Unknown players may be placed in the highest skill level.
REGULAR ENTRY: $35
CURRENT PALM BEACH ACS & SLATE BCA MEMBERS: $25
FBT MEMBERS: $25
(Entry includes $5 admin. fee & $5 green fee. All remaining monies paid out.)
PAYOUT: Payout 1/4 to 1/3 of field paid out depending on number of players.
The highest finishing female in each division will receive a paid entry into the FBT 2014 Opening Event!
This event will be streamed on Ustream, the FBT Stream page, and the Palm Beach ACS Stream page.
