schlitz/viking pool cue???

I had a pool cue given to me tonight that was found in a bar and i dont really know what it is. At the bottom where the buttsleeve is there is a clear see through piece and itside it says Schlitz and Viking and also says 1977 BCA National 8-Ball Championship. Could anyone out there tell me anything about this cue? I will try to post pics shortly.
 
I honestly have no clue about your cue, but is there a possibility that the bca championship labeled on it took place in Wisconsin. Seeing that both Schlitz and Viking are or were Wisconsin companies. That would be my guess.
 
Bring it back to the bar so whoever lost it can get it back. My wife had 2 cues stolen from her while playing in the APA, not a nice thing.
 
Sounds like a cue that would have been made to give to the winner of the tournament. You should post pictures, I would like to see it.
 
t_pierce...Viking Cues recently reopened in Madison WI, under new owners. Almost all of the 'old guard' guys, who made the actual cues, were rehired. I'm sure if you contact them directly, they will have someone there who can answer your question.
