Schmelke Rubber Bumper Removal

The tall rubber one on a cue I have that looks sorta like a little pedestal does have threads in the rubber but no threads in the butt, it just pulls and twists to remove. Probably turn counter-clockwise a little as you pull if it is like this one. No idea if they are all the same.

Anyone know if its screw in like Joss or just press fitted? Whats the best method to remove it? Thanks!
