For sale is a Schmelke SP that I ordered from them myself. It has about 5 hours play on it- if that much- the cue really is in like new condition. I recently bought a Jim Odom 04 SP and a Bob Frey SP arriving tomorrow- so I just need to make room. This cue has a beautiful piece of Bacote into straight maple. Points are fairly even for a production SP- not bad at all. Great Finish on these cues and it plays, very well. Straight- no dents, no dings looks new! schmelke1.JPGschmelke1A.JPGschmelke4.JPGschmelke3.JPGschmelke6.jpg
Cue is 58inches- even split 29/29. ----- 18.8 ounces. ------ 12.75 MM tip with their longer custom 12.5 inch pro taper
3/8 10 joint- no collar ------ Juma Ferrule. ---- Ignite M tip ------ 1X1 Hard Case included

Super nice looking and playing cue for the money- With the Schmelke upgrade I paid $170

SELLING for ONLY $105 shipped to lower 48! Fed EX!

Also, can you confirm this is their older clear coat and not the newer milkier one that they say they "had to go to because they cannot get other supply"?

Cue is pending payment. I will post as sold once payment is received. I thank everyone for their interest.

Um, you didn't respect the order of interest replies?

I thought common courtesy as the seller the order of interested buyers would be handled in order of:

@hkstyle
@sbrownn
@Bavafongoul
First of all- how do you know where this cue was sold/ It was also listed on e bay.

Second of all- I have no idea what kind of clear coat Schmelke used on this cue- so you could not be a buyer anyhow. FYI the CLEARCOAT ON THIS CUE IS CLEAR- NOT "Milky"

And most importantly- I will sell my cues to whomever I darn well please- Thank You!!

i was reluctant to post my opinion earlier today on this sale. Full disclosure I consider Bava a friend and I have messaged w Mike. If you want to buy a cue that is not of substantial value asking joint size is unbecoming imho. Any details more than condition, tip, a weight and I think you are asking more than the seller is obligated too. You can buy this cue new for twice as much, don’t complain about etiquette. Sorry to be harsh, you need to learn some first. Shooter08

If you really need a $105 cue, I’ll ship you a DeanOC special and you can post it when you get it!! Shooter08

Thank you Tom…..I thought Mike’s thread was a simple choice…either spend a $105 for a cue or keep looking.

I just purchased 2 boxes (4chalks) of Pagulayan chalk for almost as much. If I ordered 5 chalks, it’d be the same
price. Mike presented a very straightforward description of the cue accompanied by photos. If you were looking
for a SP cue, and I have been, this seemed to fit the bill rather nicely. I know that Mike would always respect/abide
by the receipt sequence of any and all purchase offers for the cue. Apparently, mine was the first one he received.

Yes Matt was indeed the FIRST purchase offer- purchase offers always trump questions about a cue. I am a long, long time yard sale picker and I can't tell you how many times I handed asking price cash to a seller while others stood by asking questions or trying to bicker over the price.

When you know your stuff, you know when to jump, he who hesitates is last. Plenty of people at yard and church sales have gotten very pissed off at me and/or the seller when my cash on the line trumped their hesitation- but that is the name of the game as they say.

Mike,

The cue arrived and it is exactly as you described……looks like a brand new cue……can’t even see chalk on the tip and the finish is pristine, the shaft is smooth, nary a flaw anywhere and the Bacote wood is genuinely very handsome.

Thanks for the opportunity to get my 1st Sneaky Pete cue and I think I’d like to another but a little fancier. It’s a great start and it’s because you listed this cue for sale. I also appreciate the way you packed and shipped this cue. I’d post a photo but you already did that when you created this F/S thread so not much reason to do it again.

Matt

You are very welcome, Matt. I honestly try to keep every cue that comes through my hands as new as possible- cues are just one of my passions and hobbies, but the passion is there all the time- this was a very pleasant selling experience, enjoy the cue!

I played with the cue today. I am pleasantly surprised and this cue will fulfill its purpose. A great league cue, despite that I stopped playing APA long ago but more importantly, a loaner. When someone needs a cue to play with,I tell my friends there’s my case and pick what you want. Just don’t move the cue ball or object balls using the cue shaft and no bridges. If you need to use a bridge, go use a house cue on a bridge but never any of my customs even though I carry a collapsible bridge too. Now I’ll just pull out the Schmelke SP because I’ve played with it and it surprisingly plays well so instead I’ll offer up that cue.

I think it’s because of the big pin flat faced joint. The two collars lineup seamlessly and the taper is a couple of inches shorter than my cues but it plays quite acceptable as is. I’ll keep my eyes open for an upgraded SP from a cue maker instead of a brand name. This actually would be a very good starter cue, plus Mike’s selling price was too irresistible. I got lucky again.
