Up for sale is a thirty-year-old, Schon shaft with rare "Gold" ring. The ring is the same thickness as all standard Schon's, and not thin, as with some models from the SP line. I'm not sure what model this shaft was originally mated to?, but I've attached a pic from a Schon BW (Black Widow) cue, that an AZB owner never verified whether the shaft was original to the cue? You can clearly see the difference between the silver ring on the butt of the cue (Right), and the gold ring on the shaft (Left). With regard to this shaft, it's definitely gold, and not from the aged finish. While the shaft has been well-played, it's smooth and straight, and without any defects. This vintage shaft features nice, tight-grained maple, and the weight to match, tipping the scale at 4.2 oz. The Triangle tip is in great condition, and the shaft measures a full 13.01 oz., at the bottom of the melamine, linen-based ferrule. $OLD, includes insured shipping. Schon rings are nickel silver. Some have a higher copper content than others.

The ring on your shaft may be gold, but IMO would look closer in color to the brass pilot.

I agree, although the OP stated this shaft did not share the congruity of 30 year old shafts.
 
I had one of those shafts as well that I used on a 30 year old Schon Tulipwood. It was an excellent shaft. Out of all the cues I've sold this is the one I wish I never had.

Edit: I couldn't sell this cue for $500 in 2010. No clue what it would sell for today.

You're right, the OP probably could have described it better. But I'm pretty sure what I said earlier is what he meant.

Congruity is a quality of agreement and appropriateness. When there's congruity, things fit together in a way that makes sense. If a team has congruity, the players work together well, even if they don't win.

You are making my point. All he really said, in an effort to sell his nice Schon shaft is that it seems to have an unusual color to the joint ring,super tight grain and is straight and full size. For that he got a bunch of shit! WTF? This is why I say I hope AZB makes it for ever, But I don't see it happening. I could sell that shaft in 20 fucking minutes on Facebook. So can he if he knows where. It's a nice old Schon shaft. I actually would love to have it.

If you are referring to me pointing out that he was getting an un deserved hard time regarding his offering, That is not "bitching" Although it it absolutely none of your business I will share with you that I have been in contact with the seller regarding the purchase of this shaft because I do know what it is and I am a contender. Okay buddy. Let's take a deep breath and relax. I'm not going to tabulate and cross reference the few comments I made. But I did not attack you. I commented on this thread because it reminded me of my old Schon I wished I never sold.

So a first I gave you my sincere and honest opinion of what I believed to be his meaning of "congruity". Honestly, I had to invest time and look the word up and try to apply the definition to his sentence text. So what I replied to you is the best I could come up with. You did not agree. Okay. Who gives a shit. I mean you want the shaft so why does it matter.

But no, you couldn't stop there. I felt you got a little testy and pissy when you said I'm making your point for you. So what, the guy used the wrong word. Then it devolved from there.

You say you want the shaft. You say you really like the shaft. You said you've been in communications with him. You say he could sell it on FB in 20 fkn minutes. Why didn't you take all that up with him directly? Normally when you go to PM's you keep it private from the point on.

What are you really upset about? Serious question. Do you think he's asking too much? Or are you upset because you didn't like my explanation of his meaning of congruity...because that's when it went down hill.

Removing me from the equation, what exactly are you upset about?

My apologies if I'm missing something here but I'm racking my brain and all I can come up with is I've done nothing wrong and you are hung up on the word congruity.
