Schon Cue I.D. Please

I have a Schon Cue that I bought new in December 1990. It looks a lot like the STL-7 on your website, but with some notable differences. The small diamonds on the butt are different and the wood isn't Birdseye Maple but Curly Maple. Here are some pictures that I hope will help. Also, are there any hidden markings on these cues that could help?

Thanks,
James

I went to the link you provided and it very wellcould be a SP-49. I cannot see the forarm very well. I had sent the same pictures to Schon and asked them and the response from them is that it is a SL-5. Is there any way to tell for sure? or maybe better pictures of both cues someplace?

Thanks for all the help,
James

Yes it is a SP-49 I have two of them. One is Ebony just like this one and the other is Purpleheart!

Still Trying to find out for sure what this cue is. Schon is still saying it is a SL-5, but the answer here is that it is a SP-49.

Thanks again

The others have it right........SP-49. The cue has the earlier Schon logo, plus the fact you bought it in 1990 leaves little doubt.

Just wanted to update this thread. Got the word from Schon and this cue is not a SP-49, it is a SL-5.

Thanks for all the input and help,
James
