Well, the high bidder turned out to be a deadbeat...

Early 90's Schon cue. 95% because there are a couple of marks in the finish on the forearm where it looks to have bubbled. It is nothing major at all, any refinishing can take care of this.
This cue has 6 points of ebony, each tipped with an ivory spear in a birdseye forearm. This cue weighs 19.5 oz with either shaft. Included is two shafts, one being a new Schon stamped shaft. The other is the older, original shaft with ringwork. The butt is ebony with 16 ivory diamond inlays. Also has a pristine condition leather wrap and gorgeous ringwork throughout. I emailed the owner of Schon, and he said that this cue sold for $1050 and that was with only one shaft.

If you have anything in trade, let me know, I just might take it. Cash either way, trade up or down. $600 shipped.

Trade Offer for your Schon

Hello.

I have a Jim Buss made in 1991 (signed/dated) that was made to spec for good player from TX to resemble his Kershenbrock, 6 points 3-high, 3-low, with orange veneers. It has a 30" length butt that's pretty thin, 29" shafts (one ivory ferrule, the other standard fibre material), weighs about 18.25-18.5oz. It's very nice looking cue and has recently been refinished by Jim (Feb). It had a few minor dings that do not go through the finish and hardly worth mentioning but I don't want you to think it's 100%, but it's close and it's straight. Has a black on black linen wrap. Jim said he would sell it for $1200 if he made it today.

I'm asking $750 for it. Do you possibley have a case or something to add? If you're interested, please let me know and we can discuss detail.

By the way, does the screw have threads all the way to tip of pin or is it one of those pins with no threads the first 1/4 inch or so they made in the early 90s?

Thanks, Dave

This cue is sold. Your money is on the way Roscoe. Thanks again and nice doing business with you.

I have visions of a re-finish with an added cork wrap. Any comments or suggestions?

IMO, textured leather looks great on a Schon. Regardless, I recommend proficient billiards to do the work...they really have a great reputation from what I have seen on the net.
