Schon R series thread size

I just got a really nice old R 12 shaft & thou it looks & feels like 5/16 14 the pitch seems a little different than current 5/16 14 threads. Any help out there?

> My cue is a Schon from the R period,and technically it is a 5/16-14,but .010 undersized on the major diameter,making it a .302-14. A Joss shaft for example will fit it,but you can't use the Schon shaft on the Joss butt which has the full-sized pin. Tommy D.
