I'll bet it would play perfect if it had the original Micarta ferrule. There is no doubt that by changing the ferrule that it will 100% change how the cue hits People love these old schons because of the way they play and hit, I'm sure by changing the ferrule the cue hits very different, bearing that in mind and the fact that there are no stich rings, I have seen R- series schons with Micarta ferrules and stich rings sell for much less..Just my opinion, GLWTS.
