My friend just put his Schon SP 26 up on eBay. The cue plays great. Don't miss out on your chance to own a great playing cue.

The joint collars on the two shafts appear to be different. Will the seller offer a money back guarantee if not satisfied with this cue?

If you read the description Evan Clark verified the shafts are original. Also, the description never said the cue was a one of a kind. I hope this clears up some confusion.

I don't doubt that they are Schon shafts. I was just saying that one of the black collars appears to be longer than the other. It's unlikely that both shafts are original to that cue.

sp26.

No.. I was thinking that your friend's auction looks totally legit. Nice pics, good description and all that. The OTHER ad looks ridiculous and is the one claiming to be a one of a kind. $5300??? That seems a tad high fuzzy pics.

Before listing that Schon on Ebay, I did send the same pictures that are in the ad to Evan Clarke. He explained (via email) why they started logoing the shafts and said that he made the cue "around 1990" and that the "ferrules are ivory."

As Hal said - the joint collars do look different and even the brass female threaded connections look different. As the cue threads together, its slightly wobbly but the wobble diminishes noticebly as the shaft and butt come together. The "hit" with either shaft is virtually indistinguisable.

I have been lucky and never been "hosed" on a bad EBay deal and I certainly don't want to be a "hoser" and have someone unhappy with me.

Should I just cancel the auction.

I really don't need the money. The cue is gorgeous and plays like a charm. I can sell it locally for a lot less money but at least the buyer can see the cue and play with it and know exactly what he's getting.
