Can anyone help me get an appraisal for a Schon SP49? I emailed Evan and he left out the prices. I would email him back, but it took two weeks to receive the last one. I'm in no way complaining, Evan is a cue maker, his replies are at the end of a busy day. Anyone have a BlueBook?

> I've been a huge fan of those era Schons since then, and I have to tell you that is the nicest one I've ever seen in that particular model,5-6 others had the same shape inlays, but in different colors. All were far enough apart that no one could say that one is JUST like mine. That is a marvelous example of that era,and if the cue belonged to me,I'd be offended by any offers under 1000 minimum. I'm in bad shape myself or I'd take it for that as well, and have nothing meaningful to offer as a trade. I'd also be looking to hold on to that one if it were to just show up at my house,:)>. I just got a email from Evan stating $1000. I not sure if that was the original price or its current value? I would be surprised if it brought that much since the cue market is low. But nonetheless, it is the best hitting cue I've ever played. (No offense to any custom cue makers, I just haven't got around to you yet). With a hit like that, I might be off the laminated shaft bandwagon.

I emailed evan about my sp-62 and he told me it sold for 1650.00 new but didn't answer the part about what it would be worth now and that was my main question so good luck getting that info from him.

how would he know what it is worth now? Buyers/Sellers set the price on the used market. One guy might ask 600, another 1800.

Was just looking for a ball park replacement cost for my insurance company not an arguement over something so petty. sorry I started it.

i had a cue in 95 that looked almost exactly like the one in the pic, i paid $500 for it- i was in it good, I sold it for $1000 to a guy I worked with, he gave me $200 and I was going to get the rest in a week. He made strong $$$, but he got busted for something, I lost $300 on the deal, and I really didnt want to sell it, I liked it alot. I was about $2000 up on him playing him over a 3 week period and i figured if i sold him the cue he would stay on the line, i had him hooked good. otherwise i wasnt going to sell it. oh well.

You didn't start an argument, Cubswin brought up a good point from the Cuemakers perspective that I failed to see because I was only focusing on my needs. We're both in the same boat trying to inquire about our investment. No argument, just a good discussion.:) :)
