I am in a toss up between buying a Schon or a predator sneaky pete with the Z2 shaft, I dont really want a second gen shaft, so I shopped around online a little more and found a Schon, only a little difference in price, so any info would help. Im normally a Meucci man but im looking for a stiffer hit. So if anybody would give me a little insight on experiences with both?

I think you should just try getting a different shaft. I always recommend a Tiger-x Ultra for your Meucci.

Yeah I thought about that, but my cue is a older one, I want to get something fresh in my case. My hook has a slight roll in the butt, small, but it is there, so I want to get a new cue. I seen a nice jacoby but never got with the guy to get it. I am just in a toss up between the two, I am just scared to buy one of those second gen predator z2s.

Schon all the way for me! I have a Schon I bought in 1996 it still looks and plays as good as the day I bought it. Made right here in the good old USA(Milwaukee, WI)! Not a big fan of laminated shafts! I'd have to relearn how to play! LOL!

Take a Schon and put a Predator on it.This Combo has been a
favorite to many elite players.Something with the way Schon constructs
the butt resonates a great feel with a Predator on it.Goodluck

I have some older Predator cues with 314 & 314-2 shafts, several Schons, and 314 shafts that fit my Schons.
Although I don't usually play with any of them, they all play incredibly well.
My first choice would be Schon with a Schon shaft, but I can see why people like the 314 & 314-2.
If I was going to play with a Predator shaft I would just use a Predator cue, but the Schon-314 is a good combination.
Either way I don't think you can go wrong with any of the equipment you are talking about.
I've always wondered if it makes a difference using a Schon butt to get the Predator shaft from Schon with the larger more rounded nubbin or pilot, whatever you call it.
The fit of the Schon-Predator shaft is better, but I've never tried one to compare the playability difference.

I'd take a Schon every day of the week. Twice on Sundays. I've always loved their cues!

Thanks everyone I think I am going to go ahead and get it. Everyone has good good things to say about Schons, only problem I have seen is that the butt cap gets cracked from people slaming it on the floor, but I never do my cues in that manner. So thanks again, gonna go ahead and order it.

good buy! a friend plays with a Schon... he bought it a long time ago and it still looks like new! awesome quality cues.
