Yes, I know there is another thread about Schon Cues. But that thread is about their quality and related issues which is an entirely different topic than this one. So here goes. And if the Mods want to merge, that's fine with me too.

Years ago I bought a Schon from their CX line. I don't see the CX line on their website anymore. Now all I see are the STL line of cues. I did buy the STL-8 about a year ago. The CX-02 cue that I bought now looks like their STL-7 cue.

Does Schon just make the STL line anymore? When did they discontinue the CX or any other line of cues?

But, so......Schon doesn't make the CX line anymore then?

And does Cuestix just have a boatload of the older lines of Schon cues that they sell?

If you go to the Schon Cues website there is only the STL models. Why wouldn't they have all of their cues on there?

Nope. I have two Schons, the CX-02 and the STL-8. I was just curious why Schon doesn't have ALL of their cues on their website.

I’m glad you ask the question, because I was wondering that as well. I see a nice Willie Hoppe H-6 on eBay, but no mention of any models other than the STLs on the Schon site.

It's a shame they don't use a smaller endmill for finishing points. Good designs, but the large rounded points are like a fart in church.

Rounded points,or surface inlaid points are considered the best by some people

heresy.you say

Well Billy Stroud went that way and his cues were top quality before and after

Gina Cue,Schon, and Libra builder Jack Potter tells me he thinks they are an improvement

Runde tells me the play is the same, but he is making cues with spliced points
and I like the looks of sharp points

I have been having trouble getting information on the lines schon still produces

I am currently playing with a schon Tribute with an Ivory Joint

They made the Hoppe Stule cues for me ,I was under the understanding
that it was to be a limited run and exclusively for me

If you get an opportunity to get one of the ones Evan made for me
I think you will have a very good cue, I saythis not because I don't think
that the newer ones are fine, but because Evan told me personally that he
made those tributes in a special way that in his opinion they would be great
playing cues

By the way has anyone heard from Evan Clark

There's no difference in the way they play. Production wise it's more efficient.
I get it.
But if you are going to make a tribute cue for over a grand break a couple extra end mills.
