school me on cue balls..

Since we're on the subject of balls, any recommendations on spray products to clean the balls with?

I dont have an automated ball cleaner.

Just spray and wipe it down with a micro-fiber cloth?

:D

My $7 dollar Measle cue ball works just as well as my $16 dollar red circle cue ball.

.

I think your $7 measle ball is likely a knockoff. Not saying it isn't good, but all of the Aramith Pro Measle balls I priced were in the $35 range.

I built my own with a $19 buffer, a piece of scrap carpet, and a 5 gallon bucket. I use EZ Clean Ball Cleaner and Conditioner, and then Mothers Carnauba Wax. Takes about 10 minutes to clean the whole set. I used to use the same chemicals by hand, but the bucket cleaner makes the job so much easier and I built it in about 30 minutes.

Is a cueball the same as any other ball made by the same manufacturer? Besides color and red dots and such lol! I use object balls all the time practiceing follow shots, as each ball becomes the next object ball. I don't see any difference other than colors.

the most common cue balls you will encounter if you leave your house is the aramith ball and the measles ball
you might want to get those since you have cyclops balls
just to "fool around" with or if you know sometime in the future you do start playing away from your house
jmho

I was told that the red dot and Measle aramith are the same ball. Is that not so? They seem to play the same to me...I have both.

I have 2 sets of cyclop balls, the regular color I play with and a tv set left in the box untouched.

I want to get 1-2 more cue balls to use for practice and doing drills.

Any recommendations? I play on a 9ft diamond.

I have a bunch of different CBs.

RC, a shrunken RC, a measles, an original Cyclop and a zit Cyclop, an Aramith, a BC, and I think one or two more.

I practice with what I think I'm going to playing with at the next event or match.

They all play a bit different. You need to be able to adapt.

Get a set of Centennials along with an Arimith measle cue ball. You won't regret it.

I'm on board now. Been playing the Blue Circle with my Centenials forever and just recently got an Aramith measle ball. Much livelier cueball.

Thanks for the heads up on this.
