Schrager Billiard Cue

I have a billiard cue that my uncle Bert Schrager made. My father, Bert's brother, used it playing billiards at Chris's Billiards in Chicago back in the 90's so it isn't new. I'd like to offer it for sale.
Any comments or advice greatly appreciated.

finally took some pictures

This does not have Burt's name on it.
It is used but in good condition.
One thing is that the bumper is a little chewed up. IDK why, maybe from my Father pulling it out with his finger nails, etc.

Hi Robert,

Per our conversations/emails, I am interested but need to know your asking price.

Are the butt and shafts straight?

Thanks,

Russ...

Seem straight to me!
What's the best way to verify?

...thanks everybody for the pm's.
still thinking about what i'll take, etc. it's kind of tough to part with...

it's nice to hear from people that knew uncle Burt.
the last time i saw him was in the mid-90's when i took a trip to California.
over the years i probably wasn't that good at calling as i should have been.

Bert...

Hi, Robert;

Just a quick note about your uncle. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and knew Bert for many years and yes, have a beautiful cue he made for me back in 1980.

Bert was one of the kindest and gentlest people I've know and I will miss him.

He was a true artist and every memory I have of him will be in his shop, with a foot of sawdust on the floor... and on Bert too.

He was loved by many and will always be fondly remembered.

I knew your Uncle too

He was a kind and gentle man. Great cuemaker - a legend in the industry. He told me he had made cues for each of his children - would love see some of those! You have a rare cue indeed. Although I know he played 3 cushion mostly - I dont believe he made a lot of 3 cushion cues.

I would be curious to know how may 3C cues Bert made. I have 3 or 4 in my cue collection.

Would be interesting to know

I thought about having him make me one just for the rarety. In talking to him I think he enjoyed making 3 cushion cues more. Not may cuemakers out there get orderes for 3 cushion cues. He loved the game and I imagine he brought the same passion into making those cues. I will always treasure my ebony and ivory shrager.
