i just received a nice slc 181 schuler cue i bought off ebay for $ 217.50 it like new and i cant wait to try it out this weekend.any other schuler owners or comments about schuler cues out there.nobody around my area plays with one.i was curious so i got this one to try out. thanks ct111

I play with a Ray Schuler cue and I love it, but I should also say that I haven't tried all that many cues yet in my life. Mine is an SC-230, which I purchased new about 6 years ago. I prefer a smaller diameter shaft, so I had the Schuler folks make me a 12mm pro taper shaft, which works great for me. Let us know how you like yours. 
I play with a Schuler and OB-1 Shaft. The joint really makes the cue feel solid and it hits well.

Have not found a better cue yet. I also agree the joint makes the cue over others.
