Has anybody continued this work in comparing the various break cues on the market with a robot?

Last I read bk3 was in the lead.

A real <double blind> scientific test of break cues would cost more than the yearly market value of break cues.

And then there is the coloration of what tip is being used on what cue.
If you normalize to one tip, then nobody will believe the results.
If you try every tip no every cue, the experiment will never end.

Best break cue in the world is that spare cue everybody has, just put a Triangle tip on it and you're good to go, IN MY OPINION !!! LOL

For years i just broke with my playing cue. I didnt buy into the hype. Then i tried out a Mcdermott Stinger.
Breaks like a cannon!

Bingo. I'll go a step further. I have been breaking with my player which has a steel joint and hard pressed Triangle. Accuracy is more important to me on a break shot than how hard I hit the rack. Usually I pot a ball on the break and they spread just fine. After all, the break shot is the second most important shot in a game of rotation or 8 ball. The money ball being the most important.
