B- with B- partnership can absolutely rob an A with D partnership blind in scotch doubles 9-ball. It almost doesn't matter how good the better player is; the worse player is the one whose play decides how good the team is in that game.

I will probably get tossed out on my ear but......

Howdy
I am currently an APA member (don't kick me out yet we all have to start somewhere) I want to start playing in some of these tournaments and would like to know how to get rated and enjoy travelling around I am a 5 and my wife is a 3 is there a chart or should we get hooked up with TAP,BCA or VNEA smy and all advice appreciated
Irish
would love to come to Tenn from Texas for the Scotch Doubles

Johnathan Hennessee does the ratings. If he does not know you, he will watch you play and try to rank you to the best of his abilities. He is usually fairly accurate.

A 3 in APA will generally be a D Player. A 5 in APA will generally be a C- (could be a C Player if the 5s in your area are particularly strong).

Actually a A and D team won (the D was 16 years old). 2nd was an A- and C- (C- was a local lady). 3rd place was a B and a C player.
I actually really thought a B- and a B- would definitely be the favorite team, but guess I was wrong for this one. It was a great tournament. Looking forward to doing another one in the future!
