scotch doubles

just trying to find out from those of you that have played in a scotch
doubles tourney that was handicapped how it was played I have a room
that's dead on Monday night and he want's to try to get one started and I would like to do a handicapped 8 ball with games on the wire alternate break on 1st and 3 rd weeks and luck of the draw non handy 9 ball on opposite weeks and what I have got so far is working on AA A B C's with a max 2 A's on a team they give everyone a game on the wire plus I want to keep it as open as possible but still have a ligate way for a B C team to win thus why my way is so complicated

In 8-ball, if an A player is against a C player, the C player may never win 1 game.

The spot would have to be like 10 games to 1 game.

the thing I don't like is the 10 handicap max and then its just straight up so If two people that are say 3's that really want to play together don't have much of a chance against a 6 and 4

but playing scotch doubles they would have a partner playing alternate shot that changes things drastically

A player with a B player against 2 C players playing say 6 to 2 alternate break with C players breaking first could be interesting depending on how well the teams gel

that is true but you are only using 4 skill levels in your case so i would suggest some mods that i think could work well but im just to lazy right now to type 5 or 6 paragraphs i sent you a pm with my contact info give me a call if you want and tell you something i have done for this that works decent.
