ScotchGuard?

Is there a product, like ScotchGaurd, that I can spray on the tables at the bar to help with the inevitable drink that gets spilled? Something that will not affect the cloth too much.

We try to police the area as well as we can, but when it gets crowded, it happens.

Any ideas/responses are appreciated.

Guardsman Fabricoate works well and doesn't affect playability. Comes in an 11oz aerosol can which is enough to do up to a 10'. We sell it at 16.50 a can but you may be able to find it for less.

Here is the mfg description:
Fabri-Coate is a unique formula that increases stain and soil resistance, enhances mill-applied fabric protection, improves durability and increases fabric cleanibility. Fabri-Coate is a spray-on product, contains no ozone depleting chemicals, is non-toxic and non-allergenic. Fabri-Coate's unique formula penetrates deep into fibers to protect fabric from the inside out. Because it "wicks" during application, it covers all of the material to assure thorough coverage. It provides a barrier against liquids and the abrasion of dirt and dust particles, thereby increasing fabric durability.

Well, what is the consensous from others? Do these products work as stated? Is there absolutely no change in the playability of the table? I mean like no increase in skid or the way a ball grabs the cloth. Does it need to be applied when the cloth is brand new? Wondering why it is not routinely used on barboxes?
