Tonight he gave another player 16/5 for a lot of cheese. Chris Gentile is with Scott. Their are several champions hanging at Buffalo's Billiards, the worlds pool hall, this week. Ronnie Wiseman still there. Warren Kiampo is still there. Lil'l Sal played night before last. There is no shortage of action at the worlds pool hall. Warren is giving up weight by the pound. And so is Scott. I enjoyed the display of One Pocket tonight. Cliff Joyner was there last month. Tomorrow night, Jamie the Red Rifle suppose to play Scott Frost.
Many Regards,
Lock N load.

Buffalo Billiards sounds like a real pool hall.
I watched Scott give Dippy 19-5 a couple of years ago in Las Vegas.
All he had to do was make 5-balls.
I'm not a one pocket player but I have played the game, and 5-balls can't be that tough...

Man, that is some sweet action, Ronnie Wiseman came through the Flamingo a couple years back, what a great player and nice guy he is.:grin-square:

Who owns the flamingo now? Earl Kellum had me to meet him there once and introduced me to the owner. This was in the 80's.

Hey L&L-- Sounds like some good action with that murderous crew! Frost and Gentile have apparently become road buds. Chris will get into action with just about anybody. I watched him play 10-ball with Joyner up in Tunica. He didn't like it. Chris also lost 17K to SVB at 1-ball one-pocket!

Good to see Lil Sal dippin' it a little. Has "Downtown" Eddie Brown been lurking? I don't see how he could stay away. Do you have any idea how Jamie and Frost will play? Is it banks or 1P?

I suspected that some of the guys would hang around in Dixie after Tunica, so as to move over to Mobile for the Aug. 10-12 bar box marathon.;)

17-4 sounds like a lot to give...but the bottom line is.....
...you either made a good game or a bad game.

Lock, I hope you're getting your share of the action....
...get up and bust somebody

Dale Nichols still owns the place since 1969, still there every night unless he goes to the cabin on vacation, setting up games sometimes when the players come through town.

Just Seeing Earl's name brings back some great memories; he was the man around here for a long time. :grin-square:

The place is still pretty much the same as it was when you were there, the big over stuffed spectator chairs in the front room were replaced with barber chairs, he had a deck built in the front and installed speakers so the college kids can listen to music and play that game where they throw those little sandbags into a ramp looking thing with a hole in it, the shelves are overflowing with trophies and plaques from all the league championships, old autographed pics of Babe Ruth, Buddy Hall, Earl Strickland and Efren on the wall and shelves and some stuff from that writer that used to drink there, Jack Kerouac.
Buddy was in for bit a month or so ago.

What is the address there? I live north of Tampa... might get down there sometime.

Scott doesn't want to play me.
I have many shinny break & run pins, and big wall plaques made of wood with my name on them.
It's hard to get a game in this country when your picture has been in the Colorado Cue Times twice in one year...
I don't really play one pocket anyway, and I would have to give up too much weight in 9B.
In other words, I think it would be difficult to match up.
Have his people call my people.

If you play in a place that gives out rewards for a break and run, I don't know how much of an accomplishment that is to boast about. I had a few of those in even a lower level tournament like the Joss Tour and Zuglan has not given me one pin :(

I don't think Frost will need a spot from anyone in 9 ball outside of maybe the top 10 in the country.

1230 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N, (used to be called 9th street, we still call it that). St. Petersburg, FL 33705

I'm there most Saturday nights, sometimes Friday night also depends on how tired I am after work.:boring2:

the reality when someone is only getting 4-5 balls to scotts 15-17 the skill difference is tremendous
its like if you are a runnout player in 9 ball and play someone that cant run 3-4 in a row consistently
you probably can give them the 7,8,9, with no problem because you are out from thier miss and arent going to leave them anything easy to shoot at and they cant run out on you

Look on the back page of this Cue Times edition.
My team is "Stardust Danny", my name is Ted Brown, I'm the one holding the beer.
When you guys see the size of that plaque, you may not want to gamble with me.
Oh, by the way, I am officially an 'A' player now

Peace Homies

Scott Frost eats A players for breakfast instead of IHOP, he'll be very happy to take a spot from you :) But with that many posts you probably knew that already.
