Scratch pool rules and play

Anyone know the rules and scoring in scratch pool ?

What is scratch pool? Never heard of it.

Are talking about "Irish Pool" (just one of many name variations) where you do not cue up on the cue ball, you cue up on the object balls instead and have to carom them in to the pockets off of the cue ball? If so, that was a favorite game of the late Willie Jopling. I interviewed him a few years ago, and in the interview, I also posted up his rules for the game (from his little book -- now out of print).
