Scratches on cue

I have not tried cue wax, I also don’t wear watches or any sort of jewelry. It’s just so annoying that it happened to my new breaker.

Very common for scratches to come from a loose bracelet or watch in the butt sleeve area.

So life has been crazy and didn’t get around to taking a picture. The scratches on both breakers look like these in the pictures. More and more keep showing up and it’s only been in the case mostly.

I don't see how those can come from the case, or they would be going up as you slid the cue up and down into the case and out. That looks like a rotating thing, like when it's leaned on something or something is against it and is then moved sideways. I'd say it's been hit on the side of the table while moved around, or a chair, or something that has a sideways motion going across the width of the cue. From a case or from being hit while used the scratches would be going the length of the cue, at least from what I can imagine it happening like.
