PTM, you had me laughing my ass off regarding that Budweiser Cue. This weekend at a tourney that had a B Tourney and an A tourney running at the same time, we were watching a friend in a B tourney play this guy with a Budweiser Cue. We were kinda snickering to each other about wanting to play this guy later.

Low and behold that guy lost his match, and 15 minutes later lost 200.00 to a really STRONG A player in about 10 minutes playing 20 a game. And the guy with the Budweiser cue told the guy he just lost to, "I think we match up well, we will play again". The A player didnt have to do ANY type of shot during that match, and it lasted 10 minutes.

The guy with the Bud cue had the balls to play, but couldnt make a ball. We didnt understand it. It is VERY easy to see when you are way below someones game, but maybe the power of Budweiser helped him past this vision.

Anyways, there are actually some people that purposely use these type of gimick cues to get action in bars/rooms. I personally like the Harley Davidson cues, or the naked lady cues, if I was to try something like that.

Right on!! Thanx guys!! And a special thanx to you POOL MOUSE,what u said made me feel not so stupid! Well with the knowledge u guys gave me i went out to a local billiard shop and was checking out some cues and did'nt buy one but i'm getting the knowledge i need to find a cue that hopefuuly serve me well untill i get good enough to get a real nice cue!!The owner of the shop was real helpful and even gave me a discount on my trouble shooter and my tip shaper!

When you do purchase a cue, have the dealer, or another player show you how to "properly" shape and burnish your tip. If done properly, you will hardly ever use a tip shaper which can decrease the life of your tip.
