Hey ya'll,
CUE HAS BEEN SOLD!!!
Since I'm missing out on VF...and the cue bug keeps biting at me...I'm, once again, putting a cue up for sale. I wanted to post it here first, before I try to fight the E-bay battle again.
Here's the lowdown:
Approx. 15-20 year old Tim Scruggs Hustler cue. Cue is 58" long (not counting bumper and tip), approx. 19.1 oz (butt weighs 15 oz, and shaft comes in at 4.1 oz), and straight as an arrow. Triangle or Le Pro (not 100% sure) tip and LBM ferrule at 13mm. Standard taper with 5/16-14 piloted joint. Maple forearm into rosewood butt section. Black with white specs irish linen wrap. Black rubber bumper secured by allen screw. The cue has some finish blemishes and such...which can be expected with a cue of this age...but no gouges, cuts, or craters. NOTHING that a nice refinish couldn't fix to bring this cue to brand new status again...if you so chose. If not, the cue is a knock-out player, as is. Shaft is smoothe as can be, and the tip has very little use. Check out the pics. The darker streaks in the forearm are where the finish has degraded a bit, and residue got through.
This is the best hitting cue there is!!!
(A little throwback to the thread on this subject awhile back.)
Seriously, the cue hits amazing. I would call it perfect...but that's just me. I've now got a couple with that "perfect" hit...and I'm still hunting for more...so this one's up for grabs.
The last linen wrapped Scruggs hustler on E-bay sold for $455....so I'm using that as a frame of reference. Having not seen any pics of that cue up close, I can't compare the condition of that one to mine...but mine is a little piece of heaven when it comes to quality construction and playability.
Check out the pics, and drop me a PM if your interested. Taking offers at the moment, but I'm aiming for $400 shipped and insured. Paypal is my favorite way to pay, btw.
Thanks ya'll. Be good,
Rat
