3/8x16 with a socket cap screw to hold the bumper in. If it happens to be a 9/16 head bolt, I would contact Joss cues. They might be one of the few that still has them.

Sorry to just jump in here, but is this what you mean by a “9/16” head bolt?

Yes. Chances are very good that Mr. Scruggs got those bolts from Joss.

This is a pic from behind the bumper from my Scruggs Sneaky. I tried to unscrew the weight bolt, but it’s very tight. Hope this helps. Yes this cue has seen a lot of battles. Used to be my loaner.

Mine was a 1/2” size. I ended up finding the thread pattern at Lowe’s and just made my own.

There were a few different styles used.
