Seam in Leather Wrap

With patience anything can be done, If you want you can send it to me after the expo and I'll be happy to check it out and talk about your options.

I just did a Fury J/B that was off worse than that. I took the leather off and knew it was going to be trouble. This guy plays APA several times a week and needed the cue back fast so I had to use the tape method. Once this session is over I'm going to take the cue back and build it up and do it right. Makes me think about just refusing leather to linen conversions in the future.

I don't know how Mike or some others build the area but I have taken in cues that had masking tape, nylon strand pkg. tape and a few weeks ago a cue that had some sort of plastic tape being used to level the wrap groove at the finish line. I used to use 2-ton epoxy to build up the area letting the cue slowly revolve in a finish lathe while it dried and then turn the area down to proper size. I now have a U.V. finishing outfit and I just brush on some U.V. filler and quickly run it past the light to harden. I do this a couple of times until the area is sufficiently built up and then I turn this down to size.

This appears to be a professional method. Simple, and permanent.
