Scam alert (Both of them) no feedback on the first one is funny?

The first buyer, "placidcue" .. I believe he's a current or former AZ member. He also outbidded me when I was bidding on Searing's cue for Hurricane Katrina relief fund raiser.

hi all,

i beseech everyone here to be more careful on ebay. there seems to be a few scammers that has finally log onto ebay cues.. previously this problem wasnt that prevalent.

i know that there are the occasional deals on ebay, like what Chris Tate had with that 2.5k Szam that probably worth 8k. BUT, with every steal, there is 10 scams now.

i been on both sides of the scam business, so to speak. had been scammed before, and had someone used my account and scammed people. When i tried to seek recourse when scammed, or to return monies to people i realise that it really is TOO EASY to scam people on Ebay.

u think paypal protects u? WRONG... see www.nopaypal.com ..

u think ebay protects u?? WRONG AGAIN.. its the sellers that lined ebay pockets btw...try find the email to ebay helpline! or the call no!

Just imagine, one fine day, a fello feel short of cash.. lift some pics off proficient on a Szamboti, ok for good measure buy a couple of cheap trinkets on ebay so i lift my 0 feedback to respectable, list a lvl 5 szamboti cue for 500 (its my dads cue u know) , with a buy it now of 3000. put a 7 day auction for respectability...(i am sure someone would click buy it now..) gets the money thru paypal or whatever, stalls for time (li lost the package? i ship accidentally by sea? My mum didnt ship?
(incidentally if u dont file a complain on ebay within a period of time and u cant),
after which GETS AWAY SCOTT FREE!!!

This is partly from my experience as a victim in my cue collecting saga since 1999. i been wiser since it just not worth taking risks.

i would say, exercise caution. A good deal may probably be too good to be true.

Best Regards
Raist

Raist, good advice.

yes-real good advice...
as a growing avid pool lover, i am also a mountain bike racer and junkiee... i buy sell on ebay for that too.. EVERY weekend, there's probably hundreds of high end bikes auctions that are phonies.... just can't believe how prevelent it is in bike goods on ebay and not in cues...... yes- i've seen more and more frauds on cues over the past 6 months, but there are fairly easy to pick out compared to some of the bike frauds....
<i've dealt with nregaldo and they are good sellers-kinda lying in their description of selling off husbands collection i think-but still good sellers>

ebay is risky, i tell all my freinds if they are starting to use it, i'll help and way back even wrote a bunch of my biking buddies a 'guidelines' article to help. I've been 'ebayin' since the beginning of '00 and seen alot of crap.. by bud got scammed for 10k on bikes..... <we all learned some stuff from that one>

i love this forum as i don't think a phoney cue auction would ever go undetected...

i do have a ?? for all ya though- i sold a philippi sneaky to a guy<hellblood10 (21)> and i did state in my auction for US bidders only. I didn't notice his location until after he sent me an email he's do paypal and get back to me in a few days as it's the holiday over there.... since then I've been getting what i think is fraudulent paypal account is being limited emails see very bad one below: HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS ISSUE OR DEALING WITH THIS HELLBLOOD<2 QUESTIONS I GUESS MAYBE UNRELATED>

HERE'S EMAIL: <NOTICE VERY LOVELY SPELLING> <LOG IN LINK LOOKS SAME AS MY PAYPAL LOGIN LINK BUT I NEVER CLICKED IT AND NEVER WILL... I JUST WENT TO MY USUAL LOG IN AND CHANGED MY PASSWORD>
