Seeking ideas for a wall mount rest (1 or 2 cues) ...

I have an 18" floating "corner" shelf that I bought at Home Depot and I'm looking for some ideas, please, for a place to rest 1 or 2 pool cues (without damaging them, i.e., no metal clips ...). My idea is a singular or double wall mount cue rest with semi-circles to just rest the cues against while racking, or while waiting for a turn to play. I have done some Googling, but I didn't see anything like what I've described. I saw some clips or claws that can attach or rest on top of the floating "corner" shelf, but I would prefer a wall mount if possible. I saw a 24" floating "corner" shelf with built-in cue rests, but I only have a little more than 18" available (due to a window on the right, and a trim around the window). The shelf I have now is okay looking, but is hollow and is not something that I can easily cut out semi-circles.

Are you seeing artsy, or function? If they are one piece Cues why not lay them on table, if two piece cheap 2 X 4 store under table.

@The Bronx Bull: Yes, that will do nicely. And, I already have the Delta-13 Elite triangle rack -- I'll pick the same color for the cue rest.

@CocoboloCowboy: Thank you for the suggestions -- greatly appreciated!
