Cushions - Profile K-66
I've seen cushions with this profile with a wide variation in price even from a single supplier without any significant descriptive differentiation

How does one identify a quality cushion?

The super speed cushions by Brunswick are used in world championship play and are probably the most accurate available. Another great cushion is the Artemis, but the cost is pretty high.

A good cushion will have a FULL K-66 profile with control fabric on the top and back. The control fabric enables the cushion to be bonded to the rail securely and prevents the cloth from moving, thus ensuring a truer rebound angle. Beware of cushions that have only a K-66 FACE profile (cushions that do not have a half circle cutout in the back). These cushions will not perform as standard full K-66 profile cushions. Always ask to see a cross section of the cushions on the table.

One table manufacturer makes much ado about his "pure gum rubber" cushions, saying that they outlast those with fillers. In fact, these cushions are much too fast (Golden West??? )
