Hey everyone i have been kicking this cue idea around in my head for a while now with no result and while I would love to order a cue from Tim directly I also am like a bad kid on christmas and dont want to wait a year for it although I think that time frame is more than fair.

I am ready to purchase a wrapless tim scruggs. I would prefer a stainless steel joint. Ring work doesnt have to be anything too crazy.

As per inlays and veneers and what not Im interested in seeing any and all so long as its wrapless.

Thanks so much everyone.

Timi did do a wrapless birdseye cue reciently.

Tim Scruggs.com or Try 410-247-1231. Ask Timi or Miichael what's up. You may get lucky
Good luck,
Nick :)

I remember someone saying that Tim didn't like to be called Timmy... Just a heads-up before calling.

As I recall, Tim is all but out of the business or will be soon. Might be the reason for whatever wait is involved, aside from demand issues. Now, lets put it where it is. Its not really the year wait that is the issue, but more the uncertainty of receiving a cue you are not in love with, correct ? Its probably the best thing to do, all things considered.

With all due respect stikapos receiving a cue you're not in love with? What are you talking about? Im sure Tim and Mike will build an amazing cue to my exacting expectations as most of the work I have seen come out of their shop has been nothing short of incredible. Yes in my eyes there are a few cues that look like everyone elses but when you make a hoppe style cue lets say its supposed to look a certain way.

I am looking for a wrapless cue from Tim Scruggs and while I would love to order one which I will probably end up doing anyway I would like one now. I hate waiting lol.

Thanks keep those pms coming.

If you have cash and vodka Mike will get that Scruggs ready for you in no time at all. Give him a shout like Nick said. He is great to talk to and will steer you right and treat you good.

I have to give it to you, Charlie. You certainly know how to argue both sides of the fence like no other. Unfortunately, the word "argue" literally means "to find the truth". Once you've had enough cues in your life, you'll find that there is no such thing as perfection, regardless of who makes a cue or what specifications it is made to. Wood is wood. All wood is different. And wood moves. A good cuemaker increases the chance that you'll get something you are compatible with, but doesn't guarantee it. A good reason to get a new one: At least you'll know the A joint is right. For most custom cues that fit your handle circumference needs and balance specs, the difference between good and bad is similar to a bad haircut. It all gets worked out after two weeks or so. Good luck with your search.

Tony S had the russian rocket fuel about when I visited the shop. Sounds like the Baltimore brothers love the white sauce. An extra large bottle of Hangar One would certainly do the job for me.....
