I'm planning a 48 hour marathon raising money for the Macmillan cancer fund in honour of a pool player and friend who played on the GB9 tour in the UK. His name was Mark Lovell and all that knew him knew he was a pool nut and knew a fair bit about the game too. He used to hustle back in the 80s in America under the name "The Grim Reaper" and I think his handle here was "willybang".
As he had gambling sessions playing for days on end I thought it fitting rather than doing 24 hours, I'd try and do what he had done many times over and go for multiple days. But I am not ready to break the 74 hour world record
With that said, I know I can't play constantly for 48 hours because of food breaks, toilet etc. So what rules do you set in place for a pool marathon to make sure you legitimately play for the set period of time?
