How do you center up your lathe? I just recieved my Micro Mini lathe used off of ebay and I was wondering how to true it up. I am very new to this so laymens terms would be greatly appretiated. Thanks.
What makes you think it's not true right out of the box?
There's not much adjustment as far as leveling so if your tailstock is true to the center-line of the spindle, you're good to go.
Well, when I put my dead center in and turn on the lathe it has a noticable wobble. I think I may just need to bore out my lathe jaws but I am not certain. I don't want to mess it up anymore if I can avoid it.
It sounds like you just need to center your chuck.
Do you have a dial indicator?
