Hello I purchased a 314 2nd generation shaft at the end of december 2006. Well yesterday I broke a rack and my shaft cracked in the middle and in the ferrule. Does seyberts or predator carry anykind of warranty on this. I emailed seyberts but still no response.

E-mail or call Predator, http://www.predatorcues.com/. I spoke to Darrin at Predator about a BK1 that the joint collar on the butt broke loose on. This cue is about 3 years old. He's shipping me a BK2 as a replacement under warrantee.

there was a recent thread about a Predator recall on the second gen shafts. Problems with how the ferrule was installed. Do a search, and send the shaft back to Predator, not Seyberts.

Predator is aware of this defect and will replace without questions. I went through the same thing a month or two ago and it was an easy replacement.

You just need to include a description of the problem (though in this case, they'll know it when they see it), proof of original purchase and a return address.

Ship it to them on your own penny, and they'll cover the shipping back to you.

Send it to:

Months ago, Darrin promised me to replace my z2 haft.
I have written several times via the sebert site and ... no reply!
Does anyone have his email address? Due to a computer crash I don't have it anymore ;(
Thanks,

Call Predator Directly. You'll get a much quicker reply, the warranty card that came with your shaft has all the information that you'll need.

you shouldn't need the warrenty card, just give predator a holar at the phone # above and they'll give you a UPS account number to ship via and repair at no charge do to the recall described on thier website.

http://www.predatorcues.com/predator_shafts_recall.html. i had the

same thing happen to me, only out of pocket charge was that of packing materials. sent it off and had it back in hand within 3 weeks.

See my post above. Also, why are you breaking with your playing cue? And, are you bending your shaft into the table? I'm just asking because Predator is all that I use and I've never had a seconds trouble, I'd never purposely break with my playing shaft, it wasn't designed for that and besides I have a BK2 for that. I'd even grab a bar cue before I'd use my playing cue.

Just Wondering, Black Cat

i'd have to agree here. especially when considering the construction of predator shafts. they hollow out the front end of them, like 2 inches or so.
not really designed to withstand the force of a break or masse shot.

but its not uncommon for these same issues coming up from just regular play either due to the manufacturing error on the farrules.

I live in Belgium!
I wrote several times to Predator (via the email noticed on their site) without even ONE response!!!
Darrin, in that time esponded quickly to ALL the mails.
My only great problem is that I don't have his email address anymore (computer crash).
Futhermore, Darrin knows exactly the situation.
He got in contact with the European reseller and agreed to replace my shaft.
Who has an idea of his email address?
Thanks,
Marc

Had you bought the shaft from Muellers, we would have replaced the shaft from our stock and dealt with Predator ourselves. That way, you don't have to deal with the warranty runaround.

Sorry, didn't realize you were in Belgium. Although I think I would still bite the bullet and call the company directly. If they can't get in contact with Darrin then someone there I'm sure is above him, he's a player represenative if I'm not mistaken. Just my .02 cents, I hope you can work it out.
