I have a question regarding shaft collars. I am interested in picking up another shaft as a second but the collar is brown...the collar on my cue is solid black. Can you change a shaft collar once they have been placed on a shaft? If so is that a difficult repair? What would a repair like that typically cost. Thanks so much.

I had it done by a local cue maker and it was $40.
