I play better with a 12.75 mm shaft than a 13MM shaft.

I like having less squirt which means I like a smaller diameter shaft but haven't really played with an 11.75 MM except for a short while.
I am working my new cue shaft down to 12.5 mm from 13MM a little at a time. I don't like 13MM shafts.
I am going to buy a Predator 5k3 314-2 and a Z-2 shaft to test out for a few months unless someon on AZ has one for sale or for rent.
Now go start a thread about which taper you should use.

Yeah I agree, I need to test out a 314-2. I recently switched from my standard Viking shaft (13mm tip diameter) to a Predator Z-2 shaft (11.75mm tip diameter) and I've found that my accuracy has decreased a little. I'm still adjusting to the switch, but I am not sure if I completely like it. The 314-2 has a 12.75mm tip so I think that might be a better fit for me, especially since I do like to let my stroke out a lot and put a little mustard on the ball.
Funny thing is, my Predator shaft is on the way to the Predator repair shop for dent removal and reconditioning, and I've been playing with my Viking again for the last two days, and I am making more and more shots than I have been in the past month or so.
Either way, I need to find a shaft that I feel comfortable with, find a taper and tip diameter I like, and just practice with it until I truly get the feel for it. Thanks for the good info!
