Ok, on my other thread I had posted about the shaft turning tight on my new Dale Perry Cue. it does good until the last 3 turns and gets tight but can be tightened up. I personally hate this shaft taper and it is way to big . it has a low deflection ferrule which I hate the look of to, My repair guy is down due to the virus and is backed up for 2 weeks before he can look at It. My question if I would want to get another shaft for it what kind would I need, I believe it has a radial pin . The shaft just has wood threads with no metal, the pin is big and a gold color. I would not mind having a 2nd shaft for it but would not want anything expensive. Just until I can get this other one fixed and re-tapered and turned down. What kind of shaft do I need to look for , one that says fits a radial pin maybe ?Thanks in advance for all your help.

You can fit any radial shaft to the butt, but the diameters of the joint collar may not be exactly the same size as your butt joint diameter. You may have a bit of a lip on either the joint collar or the butt joint.

Usually, when you get a new shaft made for a cue, they ask you to send the butt so they can maker sure they match up and face off correctly.
