Thanks for your reply...now I think I figured out what happened...I had three shafts stored in one hard case that somehow got moisture in it...because just what was in that case got affected, (as well as a metal snap in the case itself)...maybe the moisture was there when I put the case in controlled storage?!?
So these shafts might go with one of the cues in my collection, (mostly shown in other threads on this forum)...and I sure hope these three shafts aren't ruined...I'm gonna shift this over to the "ask the cuemaker" forum to see if the shafts might be able to be refinished....
