They also make a smart shaft where it can adapt to any pin.
The adapt a shaft is like a balance rite but can be threaded with any joint on either end. Extension of 3-4".

Those SmartShaft adapters are for use only with a Universal SmartShaft. The Universal SmartShaft itself doesn't fit on any joint pin. You have to attach an adapter to the shaft to then use the shaft on the pin of your choice.
The OP is looking for an adapter that will allow him to use a shaft made to fit on a 5/16-14 pin on a butt that has a different pin.
As Kim Bye and a few others mentioned, it's possible to get your hands on an adapter, but just be clear that an adapter will add length (and weight that you may have to adjust for) to your cue stick assembly. As eluded to, it's a few inches at the joint that will be added between the shaft and butt.
If you like the idea of trying an extender, then this may work out for you. If you don't like the idea of extending the cue like that, you will probably just want to get shaft with a proper thread. Or, cheaper than a new shaft, have the pin replaced in your cue butt to one that matches your shaft. It also may be possible to have the shaft plugged and re-threaded if you want to preserve the butt, however you would need to have the shaft looked over to see if that's possible and if it will endure usage.
