Hello,
I am new to this forum and have a few questions about a cue that I am considering ordering. The cue is the Meucci 21st century cue #2. My first question has to do with shaft length. I currently have a players cue that I got for around 150 dollars at some retail store. It has a 29 inch shaft and I feel that this is too short for me. I am 6'2" and feel that a 30 inch shaft would be more comfortable for me. My question is how would a longer shaft effect playability? I've read some things that say a longer shaft is "wobbly" or something like that. Also, I can't decide what sort of wrap I would like. I don't like linen, so I am trying to decide between leather or no wrap at all. I know that this is mostly personal preference, but would like to hear what anyone has to say about "how" they feel, and not just what they prefer. Is leather real sticky, smooth? Any problems with slipping with no wrap at all. Different kinds of leather? I am ordering from budget cues and there are several different leather options. I guess I'm leaning more towards no wrap at all because I have never shot with leather and don't want to order something then hate it, although I've only played with no wrap a few times. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
