Shaft Saw Machine

Hi Pete
Very nice! DO you have a taper bar for doing the final taper on shafts? It
looks like the taper bar that is on the machine is straight. Also what are you using for the motor controls? I am in the process of getting all the parts together to build a saw that will cut 5 shafts at one time or 3 butts. When I get a little farther along I'll share some photos. I tried to get some of the people here to share there designs but yours is one of the few that I have seen. The machine looks very well designed and built!

i have taper bars for shaft tapers the machine was set up for fourarms when the pictures were taken the motors are from oriental mortors also the speed controler the rails are from 80/20 inc they slide on UHMW bearing blocks and need no lubercation.

That looks like a well designed and executed machine. I realy like how you did the controle. You took care of all the details it looks very professional.
