I see on Joe's site ,Pro-Growth shafts 39.95........when I zoom the pic,I see tiny pith marks on the ends........is this acceptible?.........I know the long sides come out looking fine .......I have culled wood like this, and passed on buying more, am rethinking......any thoughts appreciated. tx

No one is going to comment or advise you in regards to a specific supplier.

You can always call Joe and talk with him.

I personally had good luck with cue components but thats just me.90% of the wood I bought was very nice and as described.A few years back I bought 2 pair of matching pro growth shafts from him on ebay for a good price and they surpassed my expectations and play great.I won't pay $40 a shaft ..They were some of the best I ever had in my shop.

It pretty much doesn't matter what's on the ends as you're not going to use the very ends on a shaft as they'll be cut away when you get down to the actual final shaft. I don't quite understand what you're talking about but the shafts are 30+ inches long which is enough to do pretty much whatever you want. Those are exceptional shafts which are quite limited and indeed produce one heck of a shaft. I hope this helps.
