Shaft Wax

I thought this thread was about something kinky. Seems like someone in pool world needs to steal & build on the long time marketing staple from surfing world

For many years I have happily relied upon CueSilk to avoid using powder here in the swampy south. What's more, I have been evangelistic about its properties and converted hundreds. So why, now, would I consider shaft wax? Just looking for a fix where none is needed. I recently bought a can of McDermott's shaft wax, and so far, the results are disappointing. I have to wonder if CueSilk can be beat, but I am willing to reserve judgement until I determine how to properly apply the wax. How do ya'll apply it? What results should I expect?
I like renaissance wax for wood and automobile liquid turtle wax for carbon fiber shafts. Clean with rubbing alcohol before using wax.

I'm using both TW original Ice clear synthetic and Ice sealer on any shaft I play with. Only issue is the chalk will get in and despite repeated cleanings, will eventually stain.

If you haven’t tried Renaissance Wax, you really should. It will protect your shafts and you read what
BiloxiBoy wrote. It made a positive impression with his just initial use & he’ll learn to like it even more.

I see the alternative but well, I need a to shell out for a whole can and also buy new shafts ( mine are properly siliconed) and then I can judge the sealing properties. Also I suspect the wax will be lacking somewhat in glide properties.
As it is now, the Ice clear with solids settled at the bottom and left unshaken will lube the stick for a day's worth of banging.
